A little crash damage job for us this month in Nutfield, working for a new principal contractor, Shield Building Services. A large commercial vehicle had clipped the porch roof on a block of flats, cracking and splitting the fascia boards at the corner.
What the Nutfield Job Involved
This was an insurance repair rather than routine maintenance – the brief was to put right the impact damage and get the fascia and guttering looking like nothing had happened, as close to the original as possible.
Replacing the Damaged Fascia Boards
The impact had cracked and split the UPVC fascia around the corner of the porch roof. Rather than patch the damaged section, we replaced all three sides of fascia board like for like, matching the profile and finish to the rest of the building.
